Many trails run through the forest with multiple species and the plateau.
The Trou de Sigo offers speleologists a gap with very fresh water.
The ledge is a famous climbing site .
Céüse! sumptuous gazebo!

But, we can be content to cross the Roman bridge , safer ground, and just as picturesque, to discover the forest, and the wild and surprising framework of the gorges. As for the waterfalls, they are reserved for canyoning!

After having crossed areas of forest and stone and finally discover the superb panorama of the Ecrins massif, Pelvoux. The great summits of the Southern Alps.

Montmaur

In the 11th century, the Lord of the place, from a branch of the Montauban family, settled at the entrance to one of his estates,
le Dévoluy , in a place that takes the name of Montmaur. The castle occupies a privileged position: it watches over and commands the valley which stretches out at its feet.
Large rooms take us back to the past: banquet hall, dining room ball, hall of coats of arms.
